Jewellery Cleaning at James Moore Jewellers

Over time, jewellery can build up dirt and some metals can tarnish, so at James Moore & Co, we offer in-house cleaning and polishing services. Our team of experts use state-of-the-art machines to clean and polish your jewellery, so each piece will look as good as new once finished. We offer three cleaning services for gold, silver or platinum as well as polishing and rhodium plating. However, we do not offer services for base metals, titanium or palladium.

Jewellery Cleaning

From rings to bracelets and much more, we clean many items at James Moore & Co. Our cleaning service starts from £20, depending on the size of the piece, and each piece is cleaned using an ultrasonic machine. The machine contains a jewellery-cleaning solution combined with water and it vibrates, shaking the dirt off the jewellery and restoring its brilliant shine.

Jewellery Polishing

We also offer a jewellery polishing service in-store. And like the jewellery cleaning, it can be done on a variety of different pieces. A polish and clean start from as little as £20 and takes place on a high-speed polishing wheel. Removing dirt and scratches from the surface, each piece of jewellery uses a specialist polishing compound specific to the type of metal that is being polished. This way, any potential damage is eliminated.

Rhodium Plating

A process typically for metals such as white gold and platinum, our rhodium plating service starts at £45. Our expert jeweller will first clean the piece of jewellery and make sure it is highly polished. Then, they will place the jewellery into the rhodium plating machine and after an hour or so, it will look as good as new! As this process takes around an hour, we offer it subject to appointment.
