Inspired by the dark side of the moon, the Darkmoon collection takes the concept of oil immersion first introduced with the Sommerso models and improves on it. The timepiece's Ronda Swiss movement is completely immersed in oil. The dial gets its black colour from being surrounded by the oil.

• The crown is placed on the left-hand side and is fitted with U-Boat's patented crown protection system.
• A curved sapphire glass crystal covers the dial. 
• The case is filled with a special oil that emphasises the dial and increases readability. A visible air bubble is left to compensate for temperature variations. 
• Water-resistant up to 5 bars or 50 metres.
