The space chronographs in the 140 Collection have gone down in both watchmaking and space flight history, making them some of Sinn’s most illustrious timepieces. Sinn has a reputation for pushing their watches to the absolute limits and have historically sent several of their watches to space. The watches all continued to work flawlessly throughout their time in space proving just how high-quality and reliable the movements in Sinn watches are. Sinn continues to use high-quality materials and precise German engineering in their modern space models to ensure they are just as robust and reliable as the original watches that were sent into space. 

Core Features of the 140 Collection:

• The 140 Collection is a family of space chronographs, reminiscent of those that Sinn historically sent into space. 
• Each of the watches uses Ar-Dehumidifying Technology to enhance the functional reliability of the watch and reduce fogging. 
• The watches all feature an interior pilot’s bezel with a luminous key mark. 
• The dial of every 140 watches it protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The glass is treated to be anti-reflective on both sides. 
• The watches are all water and pressure-resistant to 10 bar, meeting the technical requirements for waterproofness, as set out in standard DIN 8310. The water-resistance is aided by the nickel-free screw-fastened case back. The watches are also resistant to low pressure. 
• The crown and push-pieces of each watch use a D3-System. 
• Each of the watches in the collection is powered by a Sinn SZ01 self-winding mechanism. It uses 28 bearing jewels and 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour to power the watch. The movement features a seconds stop function and is anti-magnetic as per DIN 8309. 
• All of the watches have a case diameter of 44mm, a band lug width of 22mm, and a case thickness of 15mm. They each weigh 118 grams without a strap.

Model Specifications 140.030:

• This watch features a case made of bead-blasted stainless steel. The case is treated with TEGIMENT Technology to make it especially scratch-resistant. There is a black PVD coating on the case. 
• This chronograph model features a centred 60-minute stopwatch hand, 2 sub-dials and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. 
• This watch has a matte black dial. 
• The hour and minute hand are coated with luminescent colour and the chronograph function indicators are coated with daylight luminous paint. 
• This model is finished with a black cowhide leather strap that is integrated into the case. The strap has white contrast stitching and fastens with a pin buckle
