The overall design of the model is inspired by the original 1968 model, but many details have been upgraded and updated. The watch features the high-grade 8L35 mechanical calibre that has been specially designed for divers watches. It consists of 192 parts using precise machining techniques and is hand-assembled and adjusted by skilled craftsmen and women at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Morioka in the north of Japan.
