Duckworth Prestex’s origin story spans back almost a century. The Duckworth family business, Prestons, was founded back in 1869 in Bolton. The firm began making pocket watches in the 1920s, which were branded under the name of ‘Prestex’. Despite its success, the Prestex brand was discontinued in the 1960s to prioritise other ventures through Prestons. After 20 years of mourning, Neil Duckworth made the decision to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and revive the Prestex brand. Using experience from his long career in watchmaking, Duckworth launched ‘Duckworth Prestex’ to pay homage to both his family and the former beloved Prestex brand. Reimagining the original designs, Duckworth Prestex seeks to create versatile and high-quality pieces for an affordable price. 

With an elegant cushion case, the character of the Duckworth Prestex Bolton Verimatic collection echoes the brand’s nostalgic roots. Building upon the vintage-look of the series, each model features a porcelain white dial with Prestex’s original stylised numeral indices. The collection is carefully crafted from high-quality materials for a luxury finish.
