Aquastar Model 60 Greenwich Limited Edition (37mm) Green Sunray Dial / Stainless Bracelet & Green Strap Set M60-GREENWICH
The Aquastar legacy began in 1962 as the brainchild of entrepreneurial diver and sailor Frédéric Robert. Robert sought to develop watches and specialised instruments exclusively for oceanic activities, ranging from sailing and sport diving to professional scientific excursions and underwater explorations - all with the ultimate goal of making aquatic exploits safer. Every Aquastar watch designed and produced by Robert in the 1960s and 70s held groundbreaking patents not yet deployed in wristwatch applications. These included water-resistant crown designs and special “no decompression” calculation bezels that could be used for multiple dives. Since the brand’s re-launch in 2020, the modern Aquastar catalogue has served as an extension of the brand’s deep archives. With both faithful tribute references and more interpretive editions, there is something to suit the tastes of every diver.
Model Specifications M60-GREENWICH:
- This limited edition model exhibits a green dial with a date aperture at 3 o’clock.
- The dial also features a mix of dot and baton indices as well as hour, minute and second hands. The indices and hour and minute hands are filled with old light Radium Superluminova for optimal readability.
- A bidirectional rotating bezel, on a ceramic bearing, and a stainless steel case frame the dial. The case measures 37mm in diameter.
- A highly domed and anti-reflective triple-coated sapphire crystal protects the dial.
- Securing the watch to the wrist is a stainless steel bracelet. A green strap is also included in the box.
- A Swiss-made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement powers the watch. It has a 38-hour power reserve and beats at a frequency of 4Hz.
- The watch is water-resistant up to 200 metres (20 bar) and 660 feet.
